We were recently asked to do a rope installation on Friday November 18th for Fleet Ilya’s latest Pop-Up Exhibition.
Our friend Despina Zacharopoulou had introduced us to a wonderful concept of ‘activating’ a sculpture and we were so inspired by this! The rope sculpture took about 3 kilometres of rope to complete and needed to be symmetric (ish).
In the end it looked a bit like an empty chest cavity, needing a heart. The ‘activation’ happened by tying and encapsulating the beautiful and talented Maisy Taylor to the inside of the structure, bringing it to life and making it whole.
Massive thank you to JessicaWabbitt for the assistance on Thursday and to FredHatt for his support on Friday.

Model is Maisy Taylor.
